The active phase of the current LEADER funding period 2014-2020 is slowly coming to an end. Regional development based on the LEADER method has been actively pursued in the LEADER region of Leipziger Muldenland since the last funding period 2007-2013. In order to be optimally prepared for the subsequent transition phase and the subsequent start of the new funding period 2021-2027, it is necessary to look back more closely at our LEADER development strategy and the implementation process as part of the final evaluation until June 30, 2021. The LAG Leipziger Muldenland set up a working group to accompany and support the evaluation. A first online meeting took place on February 8th, 2020.
For the analysis and evaluation of the LEADER strategy, its four updates were compared and basic data from the monitoring of the licensing authority and regional management were used. The statistical data reference point was set on 09/30/2018. The involvement of various actors was of great importance for the analysis and evaluation of the LEADER process flows. In particular, extensive surveys with a large number of coordination group members and project sponsors provided a data basis. These were carried out between May and August 2018.
After evaluating the basic data and interviews, a report was drawn up between December 2018 and February 2019, which presented the results in detail. In addition, recommendations for action were formulated. They refer to problems that were uncovered by the evaluation and thus form a suggestion for improvement and a guide for the second half of the funding phase. The results of the interim evaluation are the basis for the fifth update of the development strategy, which was decided by the general assembly and has now been submitted to the ministry for approval.
On May 16, 2019, a public final event for the interim evaluation took place in the Seelingstädt (Trebsen) warehouse.
